There really is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. Of course, it will take a little getting used to. After all, human beings weren’t designed to breathe underwater! But after a few minutes of exciting wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. Before you know it, you won’t even want to come out. It’s all so much fun!
What You Learn
• You will learn the basics needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.
• You will learn what it feels like wearing all that heavy scuba equipment and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it!
• Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and reach that comfort zone at your own pace.
• Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your Open Water Referral Course (Class & Pool) or full Open Water Diver certification, when you take the next plunge!
The Scuba Equipment You Will Use
All the equipment you will need is included in your Discover Scuba Diving experience with Aquarius Scuba. You will use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel, and fins, a buoyancy compensating device that also carriers your scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from, an instrument console to monitor depth and air supply, and a weight system. Feel free to ask us about any of the equipment you will be using!
All you need to bring is your bathing suit, towel, willingness, undivided attention, and enthusiasm! You will receive all Discover Scuba Diving learning materials.
Participants must be at least 10 years old. You must be able to float and tread water comfortably. You must complete the PADI medical and liability forms.
