The Refresher Course is available every Monday from 9:00 – 10:30 pm at the famous 17 ft. deep Etobicoke Olympium pool. All scuba equipment rentals are provided. There is an extra $30 rental fee for mask, fins, and snorkel. Please come by the shop before 8 pm, so we may properly fit you with the right gear. Don’t forget your logbook!

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but are not quite ready to take the plunge into a scuba certification course, then Discover Scuba Diving is for you! This intro to the world of scuba will let you try it and see if you like it. Our version of this program is conducted in a safe and fun pool environment.
While not an actual scuba certification, Discover Scuba Diving will teach you how to use scuba equipment in both shallow and deep waters and allow you to get a quick and easy taste of what it is like to explore the underwater world.

*All participants must complete and sign the Medical and Liability Release forms. If you answer any of the questions with a YES, you will need to provide a note from a physician stating that you can scuba dive, before the pool session.*

You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During this course, you’ll complete the theory and pool training of basic scuba principles. You will then have up to a year to complete 4 checkout dives out in the open water under the direct supervision of your Instructor. Once that’s done, you’re issued your Open Water Diver certification and you are a certified diver for life! Over 70% of the earth is covered with water. It’s a diver’s world out there. This is an adventure you will never forget!

Please allow enough time to review the materials before you come to class. For eLearning students, the approximate duration of the online theory is 6-8 hours. If you answer “YES” to any of the questions in the Medical Questionnaire, please allow enough time to obtain a physician’s signed approval.
